POCO

POCO, formerly Pocophone by Xiaomi and POCO by Xiaomi, is a subsidiary of Xiaomi which was spun off into an independent brand in 2020. It produces budget and mid-range smartphones.

History

In August 22, 2018, Xiaomi announced the POCO F1 in Delhi, India (known as Pocophone in global markets). The device gained wide popularity due to its price-to-performance ratio, compared to other similarly or higher priced competitors, and reportedly became the best-selling smartphone in online sales in India, notably surpassing the OnePlus 6 which it was frequently compared to by many websites and news outlets.
